THE KVB virtually stole the show at the Part Time Punks Shoegaze Festival a couple weeks back...and this Sunday they return to PTP with an entirely different (and darker) set of songs to steal your soul away...before returning to the UK!
THE KVB
Southampton, UK-based outfit, The KVB, fuse the darkwave dreams and dread of The Soft Moon with the fuzz-laden growl and drum machine of mid-period Mary Chain (here, a nod to the band's oft-overlooked "Reverence" LP). With an impressive run of releases on Downwards, Free Loving Anarchists, BEKO DSL, ~taqueOT, and Clan Destine, The KVB's unique fusion of shoegaze soundscapes, melody and menace, see the band poised as "the next big thing" now on both sides of the pond.

DEATHDAY
DEATHDAY was constructed from the aggressive textures of early industrial music, the ambience of cold wave and shoegaze, and the carnal energy of post-punk. With releases on Downwards, Mannequin and Sweating Tapes, and a full length LP in the works, the only question is how long until the rest of the country tunes in to the fact that Deathday are one of the best new bands in the country. (That, and for how much longer will we tolerate mass murder?)

DVA DAMAS
Fusing the post-punk purr of The Slits & Androids Of Mu with the darkerwave machinations of Joy Division & Cabaret Voltaire, DVA DAMAS makes their long overdue debut at PTP. Featuring Taylor from Tropic Of Cancer (labelmates on the deservedly revered Downwards record label)!

Plus, you can expect a stack of darkwave vinyl being spun all nite long by your long-haired host (and DJ of the PTP radio show on KXLU) Michael Stock...
