ubmerging achingly pretty melodies in fathoms-deep oceans of solvent distortion, these are GRAVE BABIES. Let the blood pour forth from your ears...

Leaving aside any quick and dirty comparisons, the message is this: getting more out of fewer chords. The Fall knew it, Spacemen 3 knew it, and sure, the Clean knew it. So if GHOST WAVE trigger something familiar within you, it’s the best kind of vibe. Like a Krautrock Ramones. With a wall-crashing blast of shoegaze sonics. (And this will be their first U.S. show EVER!)

Like a wild and endlessly colliding set of terrestrial plates , THE GOLDEN AWESOME emerge from the earth's core, erupting lava and fire everywhere. Their debut and premiere album, just out in the U.S. on M'Ladys Records is fully formed and intensely harmonious. They hail from Wellington, New Zealand, and traffick in some of the most electrifying sounds heard on these shores in many years. Music to get lost in for days on end. Sleeved in the most psychedelic shade of yellow by Sam Consiglio, like staring in
o the sun. For all you Bloody Valentines, yours and mine, in Quickspace and Slowdives forevermore, Faust or not... (Their live U.S. debut too!)

This is the real deal, REGAL DEGAL. With a Stereogum pick as "band to watch" and an opening slot for The Clean under their belts, the band are poised to slay in 2012, as their debut LP is poised to drop on PPM (the label run by Dean from No Ago). The first (and best) description I ever heard of the band was: "think The Chills meets New Order". Seriously.
