like every night so as a band we can play like 8 times a month and people will be at every show. And thats cool because in SF it's really hard to get people out. Especially when we started to grow as a band we could only play every four months and we would play a show at one of the bigger venues and promote it and try to fill the room up but in SF shows are always happening and people are always going. But in NY so many bands are coming through, bands we can play with and we have a great practice space now. I feel like its easier to be a band there.
What is the history with playing Part Time Punks?
Kevin: Michael Stock was one of the first people to really get into our band. We were sort of like fucking around in SF and we had a demo online. He was really into it and brought us down for our first show which was the My Bloody Valentine tribute night and we played with The Meek and Young Prisms in like February 2010. And we played his radio show which was really fun and yeah man he was just blowing us up on KXLU saying like 'this is like my favorite fucking band, come see them!' He would always say, 'they are the best band since the Dum Dum Girls.' It was our claim to fame- we would be listening to the radio and be like 'WOO they are playing us on the radio!!!!" And since then we have had a cool, long relationship with him. He's always giving us new music and we're playing his sessions all the time. We've come down here and played like 4 times. We played the shoe gaze festival last summer.
