__just started doing that. I started because RGB closed down and it was a major crisis point for me because I was getting sober, broke and people were switching to digital. So once RGB shut down I decided I was just going to shoot in black and white. I went and bought a hundred feet of Tri-X which is my favorite film. I processed some of the Tri-X and by accident I processed some of the movie film in black and white chemistry as well and it turned out! Not perfect, but I found that I actually liked how the film looked kind of messy. That was the seed that was planted for Dirty Snapshots. I was messing around with this grunge-y messy film, I did it for probably 2 years. I started shooting this stuff and I was like, I need a website and I need a name for the website. The film is dirty, and I remember my photo teacher saying that a snap shot is a spur of the moment that you are capturing. Why did you decide to do cut outs? And what do you do with them after? Everything evolves. I used to go to the clubs and get drunk and I didn't really know how it worked. Part Time Punks was a new experience for me because I would go for the bands and there were these dance nights. There was Smiths night. When there wasn't a band there, I found it kind of boring to be the photographer because I was just taking pictures of people of people dancing all night. Or candid photos. I felt like I needed something more so brainstormed. I wanted to do a photo booth, and bring some lights and then decided to do a cut out of Morrissey. It just kind of came out of no where. At first I would take them home and they kept stacking up in my closet and they were starting to scare me. They are black and white and when you look at them in your peripheral vision they kinda look like a ghost.
